Chef Kiichi worked as an executive sushi chef at Sushi Roku inside the Caesars Palace from 2004-2010. During his time there, Chef Kichii was scouted for the reality cooking show “Top Chef”, but he declined the offer to spend more time with his family. In 2010, Chef Kiichi decided to open his own restaurant, Café de Japon.

Because of his unconditional love for his family, Chef Kiichi only provides the healthiest and the most delicious meals for them, and Chef Kiichi wanted to do the same for his customers. At Café de Japon, Chef Kiichi will only use the freshest materials that he purchases of the day, and that is why there isn’t a freezer at Café de Japon.

Chef Kiichi was also a part time instructor for cooking lessons at the Whole Foods Market, Bloomingdales, and Le Cordon Bleu.
